One Man's Trash...
is another man's treasure
About
With today's consumerist society, we produce a lot of trash!

Considering the process to make our commodities, we are not getting the most out of them. Homes made from recycled materials are becoming more common place. There is a demand for housing, too many materials are going to landfill sites and our environment is suffering.

Earth ships have since landed around the world. These buildings are made from recycled tyres, a by-product of the commodity of our transportation industry. In the UK alone, over 40 million tyres are disposed of every year (many are illegally burned too - producing harmful gasses).

With Earth Ships, instead of heading to the landfill they are arranged and filled with compressed earth to create walls. As well as tyres, other materials can be used too...
